Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
We believe that it is our calling to reach out to our community and beyond, to both Christians and non-Christians, in fellowship and service. In doing so, we share in ecumenical endeavors and worship with other churches in our community, offer our services to our local Care Center, offer our church's facilities for health programs, and are involved in helping to provide the needs of surrounding organizations such as Bremwood in Waverly.
Our church financially supports the following ministries:
This money goes to our synod and national church offices for ministry in the larger church. It supports missionaries, new church starts, seminaries and other ministries
This ministry supports our children who go to one of these two summer camps.
This ministry feeds hungry people around the world and also teaches people how to feed themselves.
This ministry funds seminary students from our congregation.
This ministry gives matching fund scholarships for any our members who attend a Lutheran College such as Wartburg in Waverly and Luther in Decorah.
This ministry funds the word of Jason & Kristen (Pothast) Bowden in Appalachia.
This ministry funds Denise and Gary Abbas and their work with Bible Translators in Papua New Guinea.
